Dick Johnston Children’s Camp had a big and exciting first full day of camp. Our Word of the Day was Kindness, which everyone definitely did a good job of exemplifying.

Dick Johnston Children’s Camp is off to a great start!

Campers arrived and spent time before supper in their cabins getting to know their counselors, CITs, each other, and the cabin rules. It was then time to eat. Dinner was delicious - chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and orange cake.

We then gathered in Hoke Lodge to learn the camp rules, meet everyone not in our cabins, and learn about the first Word of the Day: Diversity.

After that, we got to sing a few songs before going out to Chigger Field to play some big group and get-to-know-you games.

By that point, it was time for chapel, followed shortly by snack then bedtime.
